Around the Sony Lot

Sony Lot

Little bits and snaps from my long days this Thanksgiving week working on the Sony lot leading up to taping our LIVE finale tomorrow for The Sing-Off Season 3.  Anyone watching?  :) The only good thing about working all week is that I’m not spending money with all the crazy, tempting sales out there.  Although I did buy ONE THING, a super cool duel ring from jewelry designer, Luvaj.  I’ll share when it arrives. Cheers and Happy Belated Thanksgiving! – sg

Dance

Perusing wedding items online today, the film Funny Face popped into my head. Recalling the wedding dress Audrey Hepburn wears during a fashion show in the film, led me to this gorgeous Richard Avedon photo of Astaire and Hepburn practicing on the studio lot. Just lovely…sigh.

Quite an assortment of tracks I downloaded this week.  The mix makes no sense but quite fun I think. Enjoy!    http://8tracks.com/mixes/293632/player_v3

Listen and Love

I’ve been a fan since the very first album and the latest release is amazing as always.  A taste of the album, my track of the day, off Jamiroquai’s new release “Rock Dust Light Star.”

New photgrapher I love

Via a posting on design blog, Decor8, I stumbled upon the work of photographer Max Wanger. And I’m completely digging his work, his style, his feel. Take a look.

Can’t wait for the Olympics!

I am a freak about the Olympics.  I LOVE it.  As a kid I was lucky enough to attend the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo, Yugoslavia.  AND I was lucky enough to be at the Guiness Book of World Records performance of ice dancers, Torvill and Dean’s “Bolero.”  Anyway, I’m super excited.  Hoping friends will have an opening ceremony soiree with me Friday night.

Beautiful photography found on Refinery 29 today…View more…

January 2010 in photos

My 2010 goal is to take more photos and explore and expand my photographic skills.  I figure the best way to do that is to just get out there and take lot of photos, always have a camera on hand, and snap away.  I am going to create a Blurb book for the year and see how ideas progress.   And I’m even using my iPhone in my efforts, as many times that is the only camera on hand.  Now, just yesterday, I decided to create a video photo montage to share on the blog and perhaps will create on from time to time.  Here’s the first one.

Ooooh…a little taste

Here is the track “Made for Love” from José James’ upcoming release “Blackmagic.” I love what the person wrote on their YouTube posting about this track.

“no words can describe how deep and insanely amazing this is…”

I could not agree more.  Deliciousness…enjoy!  And already some great remixes popping up out there.  Can’t wait for his tour to hit the states.
